VIR designs are truely chemistry independent and enhance accuracy in battery powered designs. Only two terminals (contacts) are required from the battery for VIR's chemistry independent Intuitive Power Mangement (IPM ™) products to determine battery chemistry, enable an industry standard charge termination methodology and determine available discharge capacity during charge or discharge. With discharge capacity accuracy of 1% over the full range of battery charge and discharge voltage, these IPM source code products ensure that batteries outlast the service life of the systems that they power, and that preemtive in-field service and repair of systems can be done to eliminate costly returns due to battery management issues.

Using IPM source code results in a 10% increase in initial runtime and 60% improvement in lifetime discharge capacity.
